Amanda Brugel

(February 27th, 2010 - Toronto ON) Pointe Claire is a secluded community in that portion of the island of Montreal known as the West Island. Most people who do not know the name mistakenly believe that they are on the West Island extends westward from Montreal. In fact, the West Island includes everything westward of Lachine. Lachine. Amanda Brugel was born there although her time was not long in the city. Brugel grew-up in Courtice close to Oshawa located in Ontario. It was suggested that she participate in her school's production. After some trial and error, she ended up as the lead actress in Anne of Green Gables. This Fine Arts Talent Scholarship led her to York University, where she was a theatre student and earned the Bachelor's degree in Fine Arts in the year 2000. Since then, Brugel has been participating in numerous productions on big screens and smaller ones. She gained the most fame when she was offered the role as Rita for the show that won awards. show The Handmaid's Tale. Brugel, the only Canadian on the Season 1 actors of the series and was only seen on occasion, was the only Canadian.
